Multi-spectral Systems for Agriculture
and Natural Resource Management

We've been supplying innovative multi-spectral camera systems since 1994.
In that time Tetracam engineers have learned a lot about how digital cameras can help people grow food and manage natural bioresources. The systems are within the reach of even tightly budgeted family farms and provide the grower with information instantly.
Examples of our first simple multi-spectral camera are in use world wide, there's even one in earth orbit. Able to see the red and near-infrared reflectance of plant canopies, these cameras help growers spot stress and damage to their precious crops before the eye can see it.
Our most advanced systems see more specialized spectral information and provide even more accurate and useful data. With GPS capture capability, a grower can pinpoint the problem and apply the remedy there and only there, reducing costs and environmental damage.

The goal is simple; higher yields, lower costs, less impact on the land and water.

The MCA Series Cameras

The MCA (Multiple Camera Array) Series cameras consist of up to six sensor channels of 10bit SXGA (1.3mPel) data, an image large enough to capture 130 hectares at 1 meter resolution, in one shot! Each channel has it's own detector/bandpass filter/lens mounted in a common, factory aligned optical block. Fast USB interface, non-volatile image storage on standard CompactFlash cards. Host software supplied with the camera provides full camera control and image management. The filter passbands are customer designated at time of order and easily field replaceable using standard 25mm spectrometer filters. The system can be connected to an external GPS receiver speaking NMEA sentences, camera coordinates at capture time are then attached to the image data and later recovered using PixelWrench2.
Designed to work with the Tetracam Videoviewer option, the system provides a realtime video viewfinder and full camera control without the need for a portable computer.
Due to it's specialized nature, the MCA is built to order. Contact us for more information regarding configuration options and pricing.

The MCA is ideal for critical narrow band digital photography on the ground or in the air.

The ADC Camera

This third generation Tetracam ADC offers lowcost red/green and nir imaging at multi-megapixel resolution. The ADC utilizes a single 3.2 million pixel sensor to deliver accurate red, green and near-infrared data.

Basic camera features include;
CS-mount optics for extreme flexibility of imaging assignments, CompactFlash image storage, USB interface, realtime video-out. Standard firmware now supports NMEA sentence capture from external GPS units. Super tough cnc machined, anodized aluminum housing. This replacement for the 1.3mPel ADC offers improved spectral accuracy and ground resolution at any altitude. Ideal for use on RPV and UAV aircraft, the ADC weighs only 400 grams. Supplied with PixelWrench2.
Designed to work with the Tetracam Videoviewer option, the ADC provides a realtime video viewfinder and full camera control without the need for a portable computer.

The Videoviewer displays the camera videostream and provides full camera control.
The 6.5" (165mm) display system was designed specifically for use with the ADC and MCA cameras.

The Online ADC Manual And the weathertight ADC Air camera;

The Air version is weathertight and fully protected for harsh environments. All in-flight control is through a single cable. Weather sealed doors and a screw on lens hood allow full access to the normal camera connectors, lens and CF card when out of the weather. This is the preferred camera for external mounting on manned and un-manned aircraft. Also ideal for static installations for long term vegetation studies.
